CLIENT GUIDE

From first website to a useful monitoring routine.

You do not need to configure every Site Monitor tool on day one. Start with one website, establish a baseline, then add the integrations that answer the questions you actually care about.

10–15 minTypical first setup
FIRST-TIME SETUP

Set up in this order

01

Create your workspace

Free

Create your account and sign in. The workspace is where your websites, alerts, reports and team access live.

02

Add your website

Free

Enter the public website URL. Site Monitor saves the website to your workspace and gives it its own set of monitoring tools.

03

Run the first technical scan

Free

Create the first baseline for SEO/indexability, sitemap/robots, internal links and core website health.

04

Review Priority Inbox

All plans

Do not try to fix every diagnostic at once. Start with critical/high items and anything marked as new since the previous scan.

05

Connect Google Search Console

Paid

On a paid plan, authorize the Google account that owns the website’s Search Console property and select the matching property.

06

Enable monitoring & alerts

Paid

Paid plans add automatic availability/SSL/indexability checks, weekly technical scans and issue notifications.

07

Add critical endpoints

Paid

If checkout, login, a form or an API matters to the business, monitor that path separately from the homepage.

08

Use reports and team access

Agency

Agency plans let you bring teammates into the workspace and turn monitoring into client-ready reporting.

HOW TO USE IT AFTER SETUP

A simple operating routine

Daily

Start with Priority Inbox

If there is nothing urgent, you do not need to inspect every tool. Open the highest-priority item and follow its target panel.

After a site change

Check Change Intelligence / Release Guard

Record important releases and compare the technical/search/performance state after the change.

Weekly

Review Search Growth + PageSpeed

Look for meaningful search trend changes and performance regressions rather than reacting to a single isolated number.

Monthly

Review Trends + Reports

Use the longer history to see recurring issues, response-time changes, fixed items and client-facing outcomes.

WHERE DO I LOOK?

Use the tool that matches the question

Is my site down or is SSL expiring?Status / Incidents

Availability, response time, SSL and recovery history.

Why did organic traffic change?Search Growth

Search Console clicks, impressions, queries, pages and search-change alerts.

Why did the site get slower?PageSpeed

Lighthouse metrics, root-cause evidence, history and fix verification.

Did a release break something?Changes / Release Guard

Compare deployments and important website changes with new technical incidents.

Are links/canonicals/indexing healthy?Deep Crawl / Internal Links

Crawl multiple pages and review broken links, redirects, metadata, canonicals and architecture.

What should I fix first?Priority Inbox

Ranked technical, performance, billing and monitoring items.

How do I show this to a client?Executive Report / Client Portal

Client-facing health summaries, reports and feedback workflows.
